If the 2014 Honda Pilot
is anything like the 2013 model, the car manufacturer is likely to have
a lot of success in finding buyers for their full-sized SUV.
Information about the Pilot has been kept secret which is often a sign
that the new model will come with some major changes. It's a rumor that
most consumers are hoping rings true. Pilot lovers are anticipating more
information about the vehicle, but until the 2014 Honda Pilot release
date, everything is speculation.
It
can be expected that the 250 horsepower 3.5-liter V-6 engine that was
found in the 2013 Pilot will make a return, and potentially an upgraded
return. Honda continues to find ways of making their vehicles
eco-friendly. The three vehicles which they have released so far this
year have included Honda's Earth Dreams technology in the engines, and
the 2014 Pilot is likely not an exception. As the fuel-efficient
technology works to increase fuel economy, the 18 mpg city and 25 mpg
highway ratings of the 2013 model are almost guaranteed to go up. How
much that increase is however, is still a mystery.
Consumers
who enjoyed features such as the lift-up glass hatch on the tailgate
and 60/40 flat-folding seats are hoping for additional convenience in
the 2014. There isn't likely to be a shortage of other features, as the
2013 Pilot came standard with features such as automatic climate
control, an 8-inch intelligent display screen, rearview camera and
Bluetooth capabilities to name a few.
Also
likely to make a return is the gigantic storage capacity. The 2013
Pilot had seating for eight, but with the seats folded down it offered
87 cubic feet of storage in back. The Honda Pilot offers the storage
space normally found in a minivan, but with a more stylish and luxurious
look. Consumers can expect that sleek look to return again for this
year's model. It is, of course, a Honda.
